This week’s pick is….
This book was one of my few firsts by Philippa Gregory. Although this is book is one among several in the Tudor Court Series, it is one of the most memorable. I loved the idea of the story being told from the eyes of Hannah Green, the “Holy Fool” and was intrigued by the fact that in those times there were “Fools” in the royal court who amused the King and others present. Apart from the thrill from all the plotting, gossip, suspense and glamour of the Tudor court, It also served as a pleasant way to have a history lesson on King Henry VIII’s reign. Whenever I think of the author, this book comes to mind and I always smile. Philippe Gregory still remains my best historical fiction author of all time.
Synopsis:

Philippa Gregory was an established historian and writer when she discovered her interest in the Tudor period and wrote the novel The Other Boleyn Girl, which was made into a TV drama and a major film.
