I found this tag on elainehowlin.com (do check out her lovely blog) and I thought it would be interesting to do it myself. This tag is basically about reading habits and if you like it as much as I did then consider yourself tagged!
Here we go…..
Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
I read mostly in bed but I wish I also had a nice reading corner in my bedroom with a couch or something I could relax and read.
Can you just stop reading, or do you have to stop after a chapter/certain amount of pages?
It depends on what I am reading. If it is a paperback or e-book, I usually stop anytime I am tired of reading or something calls for my attention but if it is an audio book then I usually have time limits. This is because I usually listen to my audio books when I have my daily evening walk of between one hour and one hour 30 minutes and I stop listening within that time limit.
Bookmark or random piece of paper?
For someone who owns so many bookmarks, I am ashamed to say that I mostly use any random piece of paper or object I see.
Multi-tasking: Music or TV while reading?
Non of the above. I love to read when there is quiet however, I can also comfortably read with noise around me or when the kids or my hubby are watching stuff I am not interested in.
Do you eat or drink while reading?
One of my reading pleasures is to have tea and biscuits while I read. I see it as part of the reading experience.
Reading at home or everywhere?
I read anywhere I can get away with it. On my way to work and back, while waiting for an appointment or meeting or my kids to finish from club activities. Absolutely anywhere. It has become pretty easy now especially with e-books because literally everyone is on their phones these days on social media so it never looks odd. I just try not to read paperbacks outside because that may seem rude.
Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
I only skip pages when I am bored or I find a lot of repetitions in the story or I have to finish the book because it’s an ARC I would need to review.
Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
I am somewhat indifferent about this. I don’t obsess about keeping my books like new but I wouldn’t intentionally allow the spin of a good book to be broke. I guess I fall somewhere in the middle.
Do you write in your books?
Rarely but I underline and highlight them often especially when I am reading non-fiction. For fiction it’s usually to mark out quotes I would like to remember.
I hope you enjoyed reading my responses on this tag.
