The Book Interview Tag!

Hi everyone,

I hope you week has been fruitful.

I saw this tag on Daria’s blog https://bookaholictherapy.wordpress.com/ (do check out this blog) and I decided to give it a shot.

Let’s get into it!

Name/Blog Name

My name is Biyai Garricks and my blog name is RovingBookworm. I chose this blog name because of my love for books and travel and I feel it represents both.

Age

I turned 42 in may.

Favorite Genre

I love this genre in all it’s forms because it is a fun way to learn about the past and being a sucker for history and how people lived in the past, it is always a go-to.

Favorite Male Author

Chimeka Garricks. This dude happens to be my hubby but I absolutely love everything he writes and maybe that is why I am one of his biggest fans and I am married to him!

Favorite Female Author

Philippa Gregory (Author of The Other Boleyn Girl)

Philippa Gregory. This lady here has brought a great stories my way. I think her writing is brilliant and she definitely knows how to put the fiction in history. I am yet to read the books she has written despite my huge collection of 23 books by her. I am always waiting patiently any new release she has lined up.

Forever Favorites

I have a lot of favorites because I have read quite a good number of books but I can name a few…

  1. Tomorrow Died Yesterday by Chimeka Garricks
  2. The Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory
  3. Diaries of a dead African by Chuma Nwokolo
  4. Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

What was your first book of 2019? How did you like it?

It was a really good book. I had just discovered the author and this was my third book by her. It keeps getting better and you can check out my review of this book using the search box on the home page.

What was your last book of 2019?

What can I say? Since it’s release in 2010, I have read this book every year and sometimes twice in a year. It’s that good!

Do you collect any particular sets or editions of books?

Not really but I collect books by my favorite authors. The authors I have the most book collections by are

  • Philippa Gregory
  • Francine Rivers
  • Kerry Fisher
  • Jojo Moyes

Favourite place to read.

In my bed!

livingpursuit | Bedroom design, Bedroom, Cozy house

This looks so cosy. I would like to have my room decorated like this. What do you think?

Do you keep books you don’t like or you just get rid of them?

I keep them not because I want to but because I don’t have a way to get rid of them and I feel it would be unfair to give out books I don’t like or wouldn’t recommend to someone.

Which literary character best defines you/do you best relate to?

Hmmm. Not too sure but I think the closest would be “Meg” in ‘Has Anyone Seen My Sex Life’ by Kristen Bailey and I guess I related to this character best because of her family life andher close relationship with her spouse.

So this is it!

I really enjoyed this tag and I hope you did too.

For the first time I am going to tag some awesome bloggers and forgive me if you have already done this before.
