Many thanks to the author for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
‘iRise: The 10 Secrets To Getting Up When Life Knocks You Down’ is a relatively short but great read filled with a several strong messages about determination, self awareness, resilience and how to be successful in your personal goals in life.
There was no better time than this to read a book like this considering how this year has been for everyone in the world. I found this book particularly relatable because of the fact that the author is Nigerian and was able to drive home certain points that are peculiar but not necessarily exclusive to Nigerians. It has served as the boost I needed to push me in a direction that I have procrastinated for too long to trend and I am glad that I read it.
This book can also serve as a resource for people who would like to know the steps to take to start a new business, change careers or relocate to a new country. It is well written and the ideas presented are practical and easy to follow. I loved the exercises at the end of every chapter the most because it served as a feedback to help me know where I stand on some issues and what steps to take as I move forward to achieving my personal goals.
I highly recommend this book to everyone especially in these strange times. It is a book I hope to go back to from time to time. So go get a copy!
