Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Episode 19 of the RovingBookworm Podcast.
How did your week go? I hope you are all keeping safe and ensuring that you keep to all the protocols that help in the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Don’t forget to always wash your hands frequently, always use a face mask in public places and observe social distancing. My prayer is that we will overcome this current challenge plaguing the entire world and we will not lose hope.
My week was bitter-sweet as I lost a loved one but also welcomed my beautiful niece (talk about the circle of life). I also got to see my dad whom I saw last in August so overall it was a good week.
This week’s theme was inspired by two scriptures from my favorite book, The Bible and the first one is from 1 Corinthians 10:23 which says “Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial” and the second one is from Philippians 4:12 which says “I know what it is to be in need and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry whether living in plenty or in want”.
In this conversation, I talk about how my experiences in 2020 taught me how to distinctly distinguish between my needs and my wants and learn to prioritize those things that are important from those things I can live without.
