Welcome to the first author interview of 2021.

The author for the month of January is the lovely Tare Dite Ojoko who recently her first book titled ‘Sex On The Couch’.

I have known Tare for many years now and was delighted to know that her passion for helping married and soon to be married couples enjoy marriage by coaching and teaching has inspired her to write a book.

I was immediately interested in reading the book and have been blessed by what I have read so far (watch out for my review soon).

The Interview:

Tare Dite Ojoko has allowed us to have some insight on her experiences, inspiration and motivation as an author and marriage coach. So here we go…..

WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION FOR YOUR RECENTLY PUBLISHED BOOK – SEX ON THE COUCH?

Tare: In my work as a marriage Coach, I get a lot of questions on Sex. This book seeks to answer those questions and bring help to someone.

WHO IS YOUR IDEAL READER? WHO DO YOU WRITE FOR?

Tare: Married Couples and people in a romantic relationship.

WHAT IS THE MOST SURPRISING THING YOU DISCOVERED WHILE WRITING?

Tare: The depth of my Sexuality.

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TITLE?

Tare: My husband selected this title after his quiet time. I knew it was inspired by the Lord as this wasn’t my first title.

DO YOU VIEW WRITING AS A SPIRITUAL PRACTICE AND IF YES, HOW?

Tare: Yes it is a spiritual practice for me as  it is an outlet for the gifts of God in me to be expressed to bless my World.

WHAT WAS THE GREATEST CHALLENGE IN YOUR WRITING PROCESS AND HOW WERE YOU ABLE WRITE REGARDLESS?

Tare: The fear of being branded a carnal Christian by other Christians because of the depth and detailed content of the book. My husband is a Pastor. He is my number one fan and support and so this gave me the courage to go on. I was like “If he as a Pastor didn’t ask.me to tone it down, then it’s all good.”.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART AND LEAST FAVOURITE PART OF THE PUBLISHING PROCESS?

Tare: My favorite part was the editing. I had a brilliant Editor and so I could go to sleep with her working on my manuscript. Least favorite part was the typesetting. I had to go back and forth because of the arrangement of the pages and images. Paid more as a result.

HOW DO YOU THINK BEING A WRITER HAS HELPED YOU AS A PERSON?

Tare: My confidence has been bolstered. I speak more like an Authority on the subject matter. I have also gained more visibility.

WHAT BOOKS HAVE FORTIFIED YOU AS A WRITER?

Tare: As a Man Thinketh by James Allen

The Richest Man In Babylon by George Samuel Clason.

Today Matters by John Maxwell

The Act of Love by Tim Lahaye.

ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING ON ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOUR READERS?

Tare: I have a book project I intend to publish this year. I see how young parents flounder in parenting. Sometimes they are clueless about what to do with the gifts(kids) God has blessed them with. Thus I want to come alongside them to help them navigate the treacherous waters of early Parenting.

So this is it.

I hope you enjoyed reading this interview and special thanks to the author for granting this interview. We wish her success in all her endeavors.
