Welcome to Monday Morning Motivation!
This is a feature where I will be sharing quotes from books and poetry that have motivated and encouraged me in one way or another.
I hope you will find some of these quotes inspiring and uplifting.
This week, I’ll be sharing quotes from a book I read a while ago titled ‘A 100 Random Light Bulbs’ by Emma Ugolee. This book I loved reading on every level, it is filled with many nuggerts of wisdom and I urge you to go get a copy and read it. I would be sharing some quotes from this book with you and I hope it adds some more wisdom and understanding to your heart and mind.
I wish you a brilliant week ahead!

“The system idolizes physical attractiveness and so the woman today most unfortunately thinks she is not worth much without it. A lie. A lie, she must unlearn. A lie, we must stop passing on to the girl child. It is transient and says little about her true value. It would turn heads but not win respect”. #41 “A Woman’s Worth” – Emma Ugolee in “A 100 random Light Bulbs”
“Calling money nothing is that thing that stops a wife from disrespecting her hubby when she brings in the bread, stops hubby from thinking madam is not sexy enough for the girls he can now afford, keeps greed in check, keeps many hatchets buried and many more legs closed”. #52 “How Much Are You worth” – Emma Ugolee in “A 100 random Light Bulbs”
“Many times most of us become insecure over how blessed we are because we have constantly been criticized and disrespected by the undeserving company to whom, we stubbornly keep offering ourselves. Sinfully seeking acceptance or approval by people who do not even know half of your capacity. The regular ignorant assessment begins to make some feel less of everything from intelligent to beautiful or even loyal. Is that your story? Please change it right now. Stop looking at cracked mirrors for a complete reflection of you. “Stop giving what is holy to dogs” – #24 “Luciano” – Emma Ugolee in “A 100 random Light Bulbs”.
‘80% of the fight against anything you battle is in your head. As long as the window is shut against negative thinking and self-pity, there is no sinking the ship’. – Emma Ugolee in “A 100 random Light Bulbs”.
‘We must give room for constant modification of ourselves, otherwise we would be stuck in a classic Santana, feeling cool with ourselves to the scorn of those who know better’ – Emma Ugolee in “A 100 random Light Bulbs”.
‘Do not find out the hard way that some people are best related to from afar’ – Emma Ugolee in “A 100 random Light Bulbs”.
‘Be wise. Keep your progress to yourself until it can’t be hidden. When it comes, play cool and learn to be quiet especially about your INCOME, LOVE LIFE and NEXT MOVE’. – Emma Ugolee in “A 100 random Light Bulbs”.
