I started blogging three years ago with no idea if anyone would be interested in reading what I had to say and it has been an amazing journey so far. In the past year, I have had more people follow this blog and I feel the need to connect more with them by doing this tag which I have seen on several blogs. WHO IS YOUR ALL-TIME FAVOURITE BOOK CHARACTER?
I have read many amazing characters but if were to pick a favorite, it would be Jacquetta, daughter of the Count of Luxembourg and kinswoman to half the royalty of Europe, was married to the great Englishman John, Duke of Bedford, uncle to Henry VI. She was also the mother of Elizabeth Woodville who later becomes the Queen of England. Her character is featured in several books and I admire her strength, courage and resilience.
IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERT ISLAND, WHICH BOOK WOULD YOU TAKE WITH YOU? (SURVIVAL BOOKS DO NOT COUNT.)
This is my favorite book of all time which I read from everyday of my life except I am gravely ill. Therefore, it is only natural that this will be my choice.
WHAT’S YOUR MOST UNPOPULAR BOOK OPINION?
I almost DNFed this book because it was difficult to read. I also didn’t like the story or relate to it at all
WHAT’S YOUR WEIRDEST BOOKISH HABIT?
I don’t think I have any weird bookish habits however, some people find my reading three or four books simultaneously (on several media: E-book, audio book and hard copy) a weird habit.
WHAT CHARACTER WOULD YOU BRING TO A FAMILY EVENT AS YOUR FAKE PARTNER?
For the singular fact that the protagonist in this story is one man I would like to meet in real life, he would be the one I would definitely take as my fake partner.
WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO START A BOOK BLOG?
WHAT ABOUT READING AND BOOKS DO YOU LOVE THE MOST?
I love everything about reading. The experience to learn new things about places, people, and cultures. The way it serves as an escape from reality. The opportunity it gives for me to discuss across several topics e.t.c.
WHAT IS YOUR FIELD OF STUDY/DESIRED PROFESSION/CURRENT PROFESSION?
I currently work as a geoscientist in the oil and gas industry and I am also a Spoken Word Poet but my desired profession is to be in academia working as a lecturer in a university and of course grow to become a better performance poet.
WHAT IS THE BOOK YOU SHOVE DOWN EVERYONE’S THROAT?
This is one of my best books of all time and I always recommend or gift it to almost everyone especially if you are Nigerian. It is relevant, relatable and well written. And again, I highly recommend!
