Book Review: Euphoria (A Twin Bliss Resort Series) by Jessica Tagbajumi

Many thanks to the author for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is my first book by the author and also my first from this series.

Euphoria’ follows Duncan Dugo a successful business man and widower who has been in a five year relationship with the beautiful twenty something year old Camilla Grey. They have had a somewhat stable relationship despite Duncan’s bouts of infidelity and to celebrate their 5 year anniversary, they go off to the luxurious Twin Bliss resort. However, things don’t go as planned especially from Camilla’s point of view as they do not seem to be spending the much needed quality time together she had hoped for. As the days go by from one disaster to another, she begins to question if Duncan truly deserves her and asks herself why she is still in a relationship with him. This is a story about depression, grief, guilt, addiction, love and second chances.

This was a good story and also a great start to reading the Twin Bliss series. I am now pumped up to read the other books. I loved the fact that the story tried to address issues around how some people may react to grief and how easy it is to fall into an addiction. It also brought to the fore how people close to us may be suffering from depression and addiction issues without our knowledge. The writing was fluid and easy to read, the other characters were also an interesting lot which brings me back to being keen on reading the other books in the series. The author has done a good job in bringing the characters to life in this book making them believable and relatable. What I didn’t like about the story was the relationship dynamics between Duncan and Camilla which of course is more of a personal thing on my part. I look forward to reading more books by the author.

I highly recommend!
