This week I will be sharing a poem I recently wrote . I hope you like it.

New Beginnings

The time has come.

To step out of old shoes,

worn for far too long.

Threadbare from wandering

the streets of depression,

self loathing and shame.

Blinded by tears

from disappointments,

betrayals and despair.

Wondering if you can

ever afford the stilettos

you deserve.

If all fails,

bare your feet, walk away.

The time has come.

To step into new shoes.

Red is a great color

and it suits you.

Your catwalk may not be perfect.

You wobble,

sometimes you trip and fall.

This journey is not for the swift.

Slow and steady.

One day at a time.

You will find your rhythm.

You will stride in confidence.

You will win.

Welcome to new beginnings.
