This is the second book in this series and I was excited to read it because I really loved the first one ‘Fix Her Up’ (you can check out my of it review in “Book Reviews”). This author is has now quickly become one of my favorite romance authors.
This book follows Rosa and Dominic who have been married for quite a while but the spark in their marriage seems to have faded out. Rosa having being frustrated for years decides to move out and probably end the marriage. Dominic wants his wife back and is ready to go any length even if it means therapy with a weird therapist. The story covers themes such as the challenges couples face in marriage, discovering love languages, forgiveness, second chances and love.
As a lover of Post-HEA romances, reading this book was a treat. I enjoy reading romance stories about married couples. I loved the chemistry between Rosa and Dominic despite their differences and the difficulties they both faced in their marriage. I also liked the fact that the story took us to a deeper place beyond sexual attraction and more towards real issues that are important for a relationship/marriage to thrive such as effective communication, understanding each other and being aware of how our significant other may prefer to be loved. I was really able to relate to the story on many levels and was rooting for them to overcome all the obstacles. Of course, Tessa Bailey did not fail to give us the very steamy scenes that she is so good at writing and that was the icing on the cake.
Overall, it was a lovely experience and I highly recommend it to all lovers of romance. I will be reading the third and last book in the series next and I am already excited because the characters have been introduced in this story. See you in my the next review.
