This is one of my highly anticipated reads of the year because the author is one of my favorite Rom-Com authors of all time.
The story follows Josie who after being dumped by her boyfriend is not keen on getting into any relationship. However, she meets Cameron at a party and as they instantly click, she can’t stop thinking about him. Unfortunately, Josie isn’t who Cameron thinks she is and she is a bit unwilling to reveal her true identity because of the fear of being rejected and hurt again. This is a really hilarious story about love, family ties, the effect of past relationships and acceptance.
This book was everything I expected and more. I spent most of the time really laughing hard and as always the characters were quite colorful. Josie was such a sweet character and I was able to relate to her fears although half the time I kept on screaming, “tell him now”. Her parents were the real deal and I loved the way they loved each other and committed to ensuring that their kids got the best that they could give. Granny was also another fabulous character who entertained me thoroughly and I can’t stop thinking about her even now. The great thing about this book is that I even liked the “annoying” characters basically because they were well written and represented in the story. This is one of my best reads this year and is now officially on my “books to read when I am in a slump” list. I highly recommend.
If you are looking for something heartwarming and light to read probably in one sitting, this may be your book.
