Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag: My 2022 Books

Welcome to my mid-year book freak out tag.

I know this is coming late in the day but it’s better late than sorry.

Here we go…..

Best Book I’ve Read this half year

This is a difficult one because I have read a good number of really great books this mid-year but if I am pressed to choose one, then it would have to be ‘Part of your World’ by Abbie Jimenenz.

Best Series I’ve read this year

That would be the ‘Wideacre Trilogy’ by Philippa Gregory. This was such a captivating series and I wish I had read them earlier.

New Release I haven’t Read but I want to.

The most anticipated book to be read when it is released

Biggest Disappointment for the Year

There was a whole lot of buzz around this book when it was released last year and I have taken my time to get to finally reading it. I haven’t been able to see what the buzz was all about and most importantly didn’t expect a heavily themed book considering the title.

The Biggest Surprise

Since I am more of a fiction than non-fiction girl, I didn’t expect this book to wow me as much as it did. The fact that this is the author’s debut also surprised me on how good and valuable a resource this book is.

New Favorite Author

I haven’t read any book by a new author that has wowed me this year.

New Fictional Crush

I have non yet this year. Still searching.

New Favorite Character

Same as above.

The book that made you cry

Non for now.

The book that made you happy

This was such a fun and ‘laugh out loud’ read. Perfect to improve my mood.

The most beautiful book you have bought this year

I think I bought this book mostly because I love the cover.

Book you need to read by the end of the year.

I have a very very long TBR pile which will take a whole lot of typing to list them on here but one book I must read by the end of the year would be ‘Dawnlands’ by Philippa Gregory

So this is it!
