Welcome to Word Play Wednesday!
Word Play Wednesday is a feature of written and spoken word poetry. I will be sharing my written and spoken word poems in addition to poems by other wonderful Poets both past and present. If you are interested in sharing some of your poetry, feel free to buzz me and we can work something out.
I hope that you enjoy reading and listening to our thoughts, feelings and rants and in many ways relate to some of them.
Enjoy!
This week I will be sharing a poem I recently wrote . I hope you like it.
Hindsight
In hindsight,
It was a good thing I failed.
I would never have known the strength borne out of adversity.
In hindsight,
It was a good thing you left.
I would never have known the friend that sticks closer than a brother.
In hindsight,
It was a good thing I left.
I would never have known the grass was greener on the other side.
In hindsight,
It was a good thing I spoke
I would never have known the power of words and courage
In hindsight,
It was a good thing I was silent.
I would never have known that silence is a sister to wisdom.
In hindsight,
It was a good thing I stayed.
I would never have known the warmth of sunlight after a storm.
