I read the first book in this series a couple of years back and I loved the story just like many readers did so when I heard the author was writing a follow-up to the story, I was excited and couldn’t wait for the release of this book.
‘It Starts With Us’ gives us another perspective in the story where we get to see things from Atlas’s side and also an update on how Lily is getting on with her life as a single mother while trying to navigate a civil relationship with her ex-husband Ryle. As fate would have it, Lily and Atlas reconnect and they know without a doubt that something is still there but in their current circumstances, they are unsure if they can pull through all the obstacles they are facing. This is a story about love, forgiveness and second chances.
I really enjoyed reading this one. It was quick and straight to the point especially for those who have read the first book. Unlike ‘It Ends With Us’ this book was more of a romance novel, and I could relate to Lily’s character more in this story as it showed that she had grown from the girl she was before her divorce. Atlas, I always loved but it was also great to see things from his side and understand him better. It was a nice, feel-good read for me knowing that it would be a happily ever after. I think I happen to be one of those people she needed to write this book for.
I highly recommend this book to all romance lovers but you may want to read the first book in this series first.
