‘Crumbled’ is the sequel to ‘Dance’ a story I read and reviewed last year (check out my review HERE) and I was hoping will have a sequel and my wishes were granted indeed.
Tope Omotosho has again raised the bar with this extraordinarily bold and very relevant story about God’s love for us (mankind), forgiveness, the struggles we face as Christians in this age and time, romantic relationships between young believers, difficult marital relationships, the current state of the “church” and God’s take on homosexual relationships. I was captivated by the angle the story took in this second book and I was unable to drop the book until I was done.
It was a delight to see all the familiar characters from ‘Dance’ and experience the progress they had all made in their individual journeys with God. I was particularly thrilled to see my favorite characters again especially Zainab, who God was using to awaken the church through her ministry. Shola and Tobi’s story is also one that the author used to teach us that although forgiveness may be hard, with God all things are possible.
This book is a must-read for Christians both new to the faith and old. It will stir something inside of you that will make you re-examine your desires as a Christian, examine the motives of the current church and hopefully lead you into a deeper and stronger relationship with God.
I have been blessed by this story and I believe you all will too. I therefore recommend it to everyone and pray that it will awaken and revive your zeal for the things that concern God Almighty.
